Neri è un poeta che dice poco per dire molto, o – se si preferisce – che dice molto in poco… è un poeta che nel poco, vale a dire con poche parole, e per di più come facendo finta che ciò non sia, dice qualcosa che riguarda niente di meno che i grandi temi della nostra esistenza: il tempo, la natura, la storia, il destino, il mistero della realtà, il carattere mortale della vita umana.

Neri is a poet who says little to say a lot, or – if you prefer – who says a lot in a little… he is a poet who in the little, that is to say with few
words, and moreover as by pretending that this is not the case, says something that concerns nothing less than the great themes of our existence: time, nature, history, destiny, the mystery of reality, the mortal character of human life.
