Eldredge è nato a Los Angeles nel 1960, vive in Colorado. È autore e counselor cristiano. Insieme con la moglie ha pubblicato anche il bestseller Captivating – unveiling the mystery of a woman’s soul (2005), opera speculare a Wild at heart, incentrata sulla natura femminile. Tra gli altri suoi libri: Sacred Romance (1997), Fathered by God (2009), Beautiful Outlaw (2011), Love and War (2011), Moving Mountains (2016).
